Soundforce µChorus 6
The SoundForce uChorus is a 4HP, compact Eurorack module that emulates the classic Juno-style BBD chorus, utilising Xvive MN3009 chips and replicating the original audio circuit. This module can perform the Juno I, II, and I+II chorus modes, with each mode available in both mono and stereo versions, offering four distinct I+II settings. It's a more streamlined version of the larger Chorus 6, lacking CV control but maintaining the core features. The uChorus achieves its effect by blending a dry signal with a delayed one, modulated by an LFO for dynamic movement and stereo width, using 180-degree out-of-phase modulation for the left and right channels. The original MN3101 BBD driver chip is replaced by a modern STM32 micro-controller, which, along with additional ICs, manages the MN3009 chips, closely mimicking the classic Juno chorus effect. This module also features a digital-style interface with tactile switches and LEDs, and it remembers the last used settings upon power-up, combining traditional sound with modern convenience.
