The PS-3300 FS is a full-scale reissue of the original KORG PS-3300, a legendary synthesiser designed by KORG engineer Fumio Mieda and produced in limited numbers from 1977 to 1981. This reissue represents a significant milestone in synth history, achieved by the same KORG engineering team responsible for reviving iconic machines like the MS-20, ARP ODYSSEY, miniKORG 700 FS, and ARP 2600. According to Yoshihito Yamada, Chief Engineer of KORG Analogue Synthesisers, this project was not just about reproducing circuits and sounds but about understanding and embracing the philosophy and development of synthesisers, offering a valuable experience that connects KORG's past innovations with future generations.

The PS-3300 FS boasts 49 keys and 49-voice analogue polyphony, an upgrade from the original model's 48 keys and voices. It consists of three synthesiser units (PSU-3301) and a mixer & utility section (PSU-3302), with each unit featuring three independent oscillators and multiple filters, envelopes, and amplifiers, totalling 147 synth voices. Additional features include a micro-tuning knob, new panel memory function, USB/MIDI jacks, a dedicated librarian app, semi-modular design, and a 3-band resonator. The keyboard unit (PS-3010) is also included, making it modernised for contemporary music use while maintaining the essence of the original PS-3300.
