Crows Electromusic Lore FM Oscillator
Lore is a standalone, all-analogue instrument for exploratory sound synthesis - just add headphones.
Designed for shaping tones, drones, and frequency-modulated textures, Lore combines two triangle-core oscillators with independent control over volume, pitch, and wave shape. The layout is simple and immediate, but offers plenty of depth once you start exploring the interaction between the oscillators.
The left oscillator can be routed directly to the output to create harmonic or dissonant intervals alongside the right oscillator, or switched to modulate the frequency of the right oscillator. This introduces a raw, analog take on FM synthesis - reminiscent of classic digital systems like the DX7, but without menus, presets, or complexity.
Built entirely from 100% analog circuitry, Lore avoids screens, quantisation, and hidden functions. Everything is hands-on and responsive, encouraging experimentation and intuitive sound design.
