Based on the high-gain Boost channel of the British 900 (4100 model) amplifier, this pedal recreates the core preamp circuit in a compact format. The original 12AX7 tube stage is replaced with a JFET design, chosen to closely mirror the response and character of the amp.
Controls follow the full three-band tone stack from the amplifier, with Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, and Volume all operating as they do on the original circuit. Gain ranges from driven crunch through to saturated high-gain tones, while the active EQ allows detailed shaping rather than simplified tone controls.
